As those of you who are familiar with this site will know I’ve got issues about drinking red wine with cheese. It may seem an obvious partnership but all too often it seems a warring one.

My Christmas cookbook gift guide is out, written as usual from the perspective of which book will suit which family member not which books are the best of the year. Though there are many of my own favourites there. A LOT of plant-based books this year which I always find a bit of a mystery given only around 11% of the population is veggie and a smaller percentage still vegan.
